Gentlemen.....Building a turbo 250 here in the states,.. and want a source for a cross flow head. Can someone help me out?
I know that shipping is pretty expensive,... but that'll be on me. I just need a Carby head w/rockers and valve cover,... that is in decent shape.

I posted in your other thread but will also here.

You will also need the crossflow cam, intake, and exhaust/header.
US parts will not work. Since you are going with a turbo, you can make the exhaust and intake, but the cam will have to come from Australia.

I'm in process of completely cutting away the log on my current 250 head, and building a F.I. intake for it. I just thought the x flow head was a superior option to the stocker before I go through the process.

Its all good though, if I can make that kind of power with the mod-log head then I'll stay the course.

Thanks.

I read your link,.. thanks for taking the time to do it.
I plan to completely remove the log,... and mill that surface (and the exhaust ports) even with the face of the block like another example I've seen on this forum.
What I haven't seen is any hard data w/ actual dyno numbers on a basically stock (w/ forged pistons and a better cam) 250.
I read the article on the 273 and the HP/Tq numbers are very encouraging,.. but it uses their alum head to achieve that number.
The dyno numbers the guy above is posting are based on desktop dyno calculations,..hardly a "hard number".
I will be using a stock modified head(either iron 250, or the Aussie x flow). I just assumed that bigger power gains could be had with the x flow,.. despite my intentions to hack up the stock iron head.
Somebody has offered a x flow for sale to me,.. so I need to know what would be best for my purposes.
