is my oil pressure supposed to be this low?

at idle, my new gauges are reading 30. when actually driving down the road, she runs at 50. the only other car i have worked on was a race car and read 60. so not sure if that is relevent or not.

at least my water temp is good. as of now (70 degrees here) she runs at 190 degrees. and thats after running down the highway for a bit.

just wanted to check in on the oil pressure... thanks for the feedback.

ford specs are 35-50 if im not mistaken...temp readings depend on your thermostat and of course how cold it is outside (here in pa right now i cant get my car to run above 150!)

Your oil pressure is fine. If you replace the front rocker arm stand with one with no bleedoff you will pick up about 10# using the stock pump.
I have a 67 200 & my pressure is about 60# hot at higher speeds. I replaced the front rocker arm pedestil with one with no bleed off of oil pressure. Either way your pressure is fine. William
