It took many months longer then I had planned (i was hurt and unable to work on it for a couple of months) but it's finally running. Aussie head, with holley 2bl 500cfm, isky cam, with 1.74 intake and 1.5 exhaust valves, 3 angle cut. She should get up and go once I get it tuned.

The damn thing didn't want to start for anything. I opened the butterflys and saw a pool of gas in the manifold. I lowered the float level and now she fires right up and runs. It's real rough but I haven't timed it yet or reset the mixture screws. I'm sure if the stock float level is to high the mixtures screws are probably to rich. Also there is a loud knocking noise near the back of the head. I suspect a lifter but not sure. I will let the engine run for a bit while I set the mixture and timing see if it goes away.

If anyone has any suggestions to trouble shoot the noise let me know. Also if anyone has a place to post pics and sound clips let me know.
