So here are the images of hard labor.
High heat... 90 degrees today...
sweat, bugs, but now onto BEER :lol:

The T5 was a VERY tight fit... maybe too tight? but for now everything is in and sitting torqued down... the angle seems right.. but the shifter is a tad to the front and right looking down from above. I will know more when I get the driveshaft in there next weekend... have to stop for now.. lick the wounds and get some parts.

HANGING FOR FIRST TIME... we used four points.. even one as small as a 5/16 bolt in the power steering bolt location.

<img src=http://www.image-hosting.net/images/messageboard/jbowhall/DSCN0411.jpg>
<img src=http://www.image-hosting.net/images/messageboard/jbowhall/DSCN0420.jpg>
FORD SIX ROCKERS... did not have to shim them... the geometry is fine.. and the Comp rods are fine. Just need to break them in, let the lifters seat, and adjust.

MORE Ford Six Perf parts... Headers coated and hanging in place... on the 65 these were a breeze to install and fit nicely... LOVE EM'

Ahh the 2v.... Mustangaroo add me to the list! :wink:

Took about seven hours to do everything including installing the tranny, and the engine, and cleaning up.... we took our time and hopefully it will all work out!

I have tons of pictures and a ton of work to do before I can crank it over... but I think I will be spending some more time in there now.. I see things moving quickly.

Thanks again to All of you who helped me.... I owe you all...

I have been trying not to think about that...
There are many different things going on in there some of which could have been avoided...

The Engine total, including parts, machine and such is around 5K.
(You could shave around 1000.00 off that for stupidity....)
and there is about 350.00 in porting and polishing in there... as well as custom valves... and it was not an easy machine job... that alone was $1965.00 (Funny ha!)
The T5 was more, the rear axle was more, and the pain in my back is more!

The machine shop crew was watching as I drove off yesterday!!!
(This started on Feb 11, 2003 for those who do not know...)
IT has been a long road, but the most fun I have had in years.... and it feels really good to have gotten it back in no problems so far...

Looks great Jimbo! We do expect to see some dynojet numbers after you get her dialed in! The oz head is very cool looking 8) and yes now you have been added to the OZ Club List! Great job! You'll love the power!!!!

Jimbo, it looks awesome. What else can ya say. 8) :wink:

Guess you'll need to buy one more part from FSPP. A valve cover.

I guess I can give you guys a hint of what we are working on. It will be a two piece cover. Bottom will be polished and will be screwed on from the inside. The tops will be offered in three styles, smooth polished, ribbed, and hopefully a clear plexi for car shows. Tops will be mounted with recessed stainless allen head screws. That's the plan anyway, now if I can just get them done. They are working on the patterns now, but no word on the cost or eta date yet.

Thanks for the pics.

YES!

Count me in... would love to run a new cover....

I have a chrome one... but not that in love with it...

I hope it fits over the rockers... I have not tried yet...?

Lookin good Jimbo. :)

We really need to make a Fordsix meet in the middle of the US somewhere. It would be nice to see a bunch a i6's together in one place.

looking raely great !!! :wow: good work ! :wrench: time to trow in the nice struttower setup , 8)

very nice. I got my engine in also the other day and it only took just over an hour. Had to fight with the torque convertor but I won. Can't wait to get it on the road and cruise along you.

Andrew

Very clean Jimbo, and the new engine really compliments your super clean engine compartment. Bet it runs better than it looks. 8)
