Figured out whay I was having so much difficulty getting the carbs synched. Everytime I got them right, all I had to do was jazz the throttle and it would be off again. Turns out, I left out a few screws.

there are two supports that hold the carbs together; one on the outside and one underneath. The last time I assembled the carbs, apparently I forgot to hook the last three carbs to the lower support and only had one screw each on the front three. That allowed the carb assembly to flex enough to make all the previous adjustments go wacky everytime the throttle was used.

Also, somehow on the #1 carb I left off the choke valve. It was basically running with the choke ON all the time.

Car is running much better now!

I saw a carb set up that you used (or butchers to use) at a local shop and I thought of your set up. man, I'd love to see and hear that run.

Thanks for the update, Jack! I was beginning to wonder how it was going. Do any of the carbs you're using have the little accelerator pump inside?

I've forgotten which bike carbs you used: the Kawasaki LTD and some Hondas used a small accelerator pump in the #2 carb (Kaw) or #3 (Honda). One Bonneville racer I saw just got 3 more and put them in all 4 carbs (he was running a Ford 2000cc I4), so they can be fit in, if needed.

How's the throttle response on those sudden jumps?
