All Small Six Looking for a new Radiator for a 6cylinder

Hi everyone,


Im looking to replace my radiator for my 1966 Ford 200ci 6 cylinder. One because it’s old and beat up and two because I just rebuilt the engine and don’t want to run into a cooling issue. What are some options y’all recommend ? Many places that I have found don’t have any stocked , mostly west coast businesses.

The universal radiators from Summit are good, you can measure what you need and adjust as needed.

surprisingly i think i got mine from autozone. haven't had any issues with it.

This is a good 2 core radiator. Add the spal 1516 electric fan. The only issue is that there out of stock for a while.

Those aluminum ones are cheap China garbage, 2 core and look like hell. Don't know about Northern rads.
Autozone, 3 core, brass & copper, $162.

I couldn't find an old Brass/Copper one for mine...so I grabbed one of those new fangled aluminum ones...so far, so good!

Don't really care for the look through the grill and under the hood, but I've run it hard in 90+ degree and humid days with zero problems.

the 1 1/8" wide per core 2 row radiators are the best imo.

Is this something that you are currently running ?

Yes for 10 or so years now. You will need adapters for the inlet/outlets. I could post part numbers if you want.

like the oem or similar, didn't think I could buy a new one. They DO still make 'em (at least for the 250/4.1 I swaped in). Alu just seems so weird to me (lookin). Like the durability & good heat transfer too.
