If you want to fit the XE master cylinder you will have to swap the whole booster. This will involve making an adapter plate and lengthening the booster pusrod.
If you want a bigger diamter master cylinder the early falcon XY and XA falcon master cylinders will swap straight onto the cortina booster as they have the two bolts holes horizontal.
The XE falcon has the staggered bolts so the master would sit on an angle.
The XA type master is easily recognisable as it is the older style with the full aluminium housing and reservior with the pressed steel lids and wire retainer.
You have to adjust the pushrod in the front of the booster behing the master cylinder.
