Maverick heads?

I've got two Maverick engines.
One is 105 HP 170 and the other is a 72 200 CI engine.
Both have flat topped intake manifolds.
I don't want to make an assumption on the basis of these two, so did all Mavericks come with flat topped intake manifold logs?

In a word, No. Many Maverick's with sixes did not have flat-topped log heads. You just got lucky.

Would you please look for the casting marks on these two heads and report them back. Thanks in advance.

Can do, however it will be this weekend probably before I'll see them.
Actually one(72) is still in the salvage yard where I bought it waiting for extraction so I can pick it up-the car that is.
