ok..I have a 62 1100 on my new motor wich is a 72 200 with the dual dizzy,,, I need a carb to put arounds with and will take the stock linkage.
I put 500 miles a week on this car as my daily driver so I need her running.

so will someone post the info on removing the SCV and what ports to plug to control the vaccum.

in the meen time I will have to sort out the carb addapter and the air cleaner for my new motor. but I want to break it in and I idont have funds to replace the carb yet.

Frank:
epoxy putty can be used to plug the SCV and vacuum port.
I´d hook the dizzy advance canister up to straight manifold vacuum anytime and tune accordingly, though not everybody on this board feels comfortable with the advance running on manifold vacuum.

If you really want vacuum advance to be controlled by the carbs timed vacuum port, you need a newer, `68-up carb.

one more thing... `62-1100 comes from a 144 or 170... could be somewhat too small for a 200

Howdy frank:

The Autolite 1100 series carbs were not introduced to the Ford six until the 1963 model year, and then, as Simon says, only in the smaller venturi 144 and 170 versions.

CFM on Autolie 1100 one barrels;
144- 130 CFM- 1.00" venturi
170- 156 CFM- 1.10" venturi
200- 185 CFM- 1.20" venturi

The '68 & '69 1100s have no SCV, but were downsized to 1.10", 156 CFM venturi.

Plugging the SCV port and using full manifold vacuum but you will either need to limit initial advance or limit the amount of vacuum advance, or both. Or you will begin to see chamber heat symptoms at high vacuum conditions.

Adios, David
