i got my carb today, looks pretty darn good. still waiting for the adapter from clifford. im guessing with the adapter you can mount the carb with the linkage either toward the right fender or toward the valve cover. just wondering which way you guys mounted yours??? logically it would seem better to mount it with the fuel bowl facing away from the valve cover, just seems there would be less heat absorption that way and that would place the linkage toward the valve cover. im going to be fabricating mechanical linkage to hook it up to the factory pedal/rod. i got lucky since the carb is a 26 27, the only down side is the hot water choke. according to the history sheet from tom, they were available with electric chokes. gonna check that possibility out before attempting to hook it up. also gonna look at the prices of the redline adapter stuff. leaning toward the cold air idea with a conical filter. thanks guys.

the best way is a throttl cable no loss in movement from the solid bar. but you can connect a rod from the original rod to the throttle blade. as long as the thrttle is on the right side of the car

I have a Weber with an electric choke. I felt it was openning too soon. It would open in about 3 minutes. In town, that only put you a mile or two down the road. So I put a couple of resistors in the line to the choke. It now takes about 7 minutes the last time I timed it. I am thinking I might be happier with a coolant operated choke.
