Sooner or later i'm going to get the pacemaker header and do the dual exhaust. I really want flowmasters but i'm not sure if i want the original 40 series, delta flow 40 series, or even one of the other ones like a 50 series.

I know a lot of you guess have done this and was wondering what has the best sound?
I want the car to sound real mean like a vee-eight at idle and when i stomp on it but once i get up to speed i want the car to mellow out so you can barely here it. One thing i really don't want is the ricer sound at idle, stomping on it, or once i get up to speed.

probably impossible but if so what can i use to get close to that?

I know that the 40 series are going to be louder inside and outside the vehicle. The 50 series will sound a little quieter. I have heard that borla mufflers are good for are small sixes also. There was a guy on here that put a sound clip of his car on the site. I think his name was 63DropTop. If you do a search you should be able to find it. I believe that he was using Flowmaster 40 series Delta-Flow mufflers. It sounded incredible.

yeah i've heard that clip before and thatis why i want the flows

I went with FSPP Dual out Header, the Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and installed a equalizer tube between the two exhaust pipes after the mufflers and it sounds great.

I am using Pacemaker dual-out headers and 40-series Flows. No one believed it would sounds good and many still dont believe it is the same motor, I've had to open the hood 4 or 5 times since I got them. If i have to do it again I would use an H-pipe tho

did ya'll use the original flowmasters or the delta flows?

I used Delta Flows...they are still kinda loud on the interior but not to bad plus i am still missing some sound deadner. But i will only use flows from now on.
