my 200 died

i was driving one night in my 80 capri 200 and the engine started ticking and i thought it was either the timing or the spark plugs. i changed the plugs and the timing and it got a little but didn't stop then another night i was accelerating up to normal speed and there was a red light coming up so i let of the gas and right when i almost stopped the car died . i tried to start it and it wouldn't go. no it's just sitting in my driveway after getting impounded for being parked where it died. please help

Will the motor turn over, or is it seized? Did you lose oil?

it sounds like its turning over quickly but icould be wrong. and the crankshaft pulley doen't turn but when i turn the pulley manually the flywheel turns.

Either the crank's busted (highly unlikely) or the starter/ring gear is duff.

Check those two first.
