Well after looking over my engine for the hundredth time for an exhaust leak I finally found out it wast an exhaust leak at all but actually a blown head gasket at the 6th cylinder. So I took off the head of my 65 mustang 200. And decided maybe now would be a good time to try and get a head with the bigger carb hole and bigger valves. So I went to the junk yard and found a 1978 Mercury Zephyr with the 200. So I pulled the head and decided it would be good to take the carb with it. So I am looking to put this new head and carb on my stang. But my question is about the carb. It is a Holley 1946 and it had a lot of things connected to it, which my old stang doesnt have. So what do I do about that? Is this a good carb to use or is worth the little more money to get a 2bbl and adapter from Langdons Stovebolt and try to rig up the linkage? I have to go back to college in the fall so money is a concern and so is time. Any advice would be appreciated.
