All Small Six need lifters but not sure of engine?

This relates to all small sixes
I'm working on a 39 plymouth that had and engine swap and cannot fing the right size lifters for replacement. I thought it was a 1978 ford truck motor but when I look at the casting numbers it appears to be from a falcon or maverick however I do not see a 78 listed for either model. casting numbers that I read are Engine: D8DE 6015-CA, Head: D8BE 6090. 4 water pump bolts so it is a 250. Ideas so I can order the correct lifters?

I would include pics but forum won't let me

From numbers engine probably 250 from Granada .
.
'Small block Six" 170/200/250 (since @ 1963) use widely available Ford FE V8 hydraulic non-oiling lifters. Sold as Ford application 200/250 six or FE V8 they are same.
.
BTW - all 70's small sixes had non-adjustable rocker arms and the 250 uses longer pushrods not interchangeable with 200.
.
Adjustable rocker arms can be sourced but need special 250 length ball and cup pushrods not available OEM.
.
Most parts suppliers like Summit or Jegs have them if use "FE V8 application non oiling flat tappet ". I use 'Rocker Arms Unlimited' and ordered Lunati HiPo hydraulic lifters and custom length ball/cup pushrods from them, they also sell adjustable rockers and custom pushrods.
.
have fun
