I just want to thank you all for the help--I'll try everything that any of you suggest cuz I don't know much about this kind of stuff but I am sure learning fast...JD

The best thing to do is to throw away the factory black box and get an after market computer like an MSD or something similar the factory boxe is proned to breaking down and this could be your problem not the dizzy or anything else under the bonnet (hood). Krystal G. XF Falcon Driver Australia.

Hi folks well I have spent most of this day emailing and/or calling foreign car parts places or emailing them and still no luck--I even talked to the Bosch Tec line and no one can get an Australian ford distributor that fits this engine...It has kinda been determined that the engine I have is either out of a 83 ZK Fairlane or an XF falcon -84 or 85--now whaI need is for one of you to tell me where I can get one -either new or rebuilt or a rebuild kit for the one I have-- for there is not 1 to be found around my parts---Thank you all for your information--JD

shoot man, go ahead and talk to ausheads (send him a Private Message, or look up his email), he regularly imports entire engines, if no one else can help you out, he should be able to get a distributor for you
