I just recently got my first mustang a 68 convertible with a six cylinder in it. I know it can't be orginal because it has an Egr valve on the intake. I was just wondering how to tell what size six it is and what year it came out of. I was wondering where the numbers are on the head and block. The numbers and letters I see on the block are EIBE and 6015-BB. Actully it is the first ford I have owned so any help would be greatly appericated. Thanks

What you seem to have is an 81-83 "big bellhousing" 200, probably from a Granada or Fairmont. The transmission is probably a C5.

HI AND WELCOME TO fORD 6
All I can tell ya is E1BE is "E" = 80 and the following 1 is for the specific year of that decade.
C= 60's
D= 70's
E= 80's
its the same on all ford part number..

well the head numbers are right on the top of the "intake". but the block number is down infront of the starter on the passenger side of the block. I woul dbe guessing the E1 is the number on the head? is the starter mounted above or below the oil pan rail?
