Im building a 300 for a 67 stang. Prob going to use 2 carbs, What will does the engine need to handle 100hp shot of NOS? Im assuming Ford rotating assembly, anything else?
Im completely rebuilding the engine, Id like to have a forged crank. Id just feel better about it. looking to squeeze 300+ horses out of it, a 100 hp NOS shot will put it at over 400 hp. Im ignorant as to how much a 300 can handle.
8) the stock crank is tough enough to handle the power you are looking for, remember that the 300 was designed for heavy duty use. the stock rods are also capable. as for the 100hp shot actually adding another 100hp, that is not always the case. remember that the 100hp shot is tested on a V8 engine of around 350ci. in actuality you are more likely to get about 75hp with a 100hp shot system on a six.

8) you can use nitrous with any induction system, the engine doesnt care. nitrous oxide is just a supplemental oxygen delivery system. as long as you add the proper amount of fuel to prevent a lean fuel mixture, you are good to go.
