Oil pump interference

Has anyone had a problem with interferance between the oil pump and arp main studs on a 200? If so, how did you resolve it?

Yes, I and others have had this issue when using arp main studs. What others and myself have done is to grind a clearance relief on the oil pump so it would clear the stud. There is sufficient material on the pump do to this. Just do a little at a time and keep test fitting until it clears. I have a couple of pics but I can't load them here. If you give me your email address I can send them to you.

We just bumped into this problem also (pun intended). We couldn't get the distributor to drop in, and when we looked down the into the hole we could see the oil pump was WAY out of alignment. My builder took the pan off to discover the oil pump interfering with one of the ARP main studs. He resolved the problem using all the options noted above. He shortened the stud, ground a little off of the nut and a little off the pump. He took a bunch of pictures that he wants me to post here. I'll post them as soon as I get them.
