Oil Pump or sending unit

Hi,
I have the 200 runing for the first time in several years and my oil light is flickering on and off. Yet I had to tighten the valve cover down as I had oil coming out around a couple of bolts. Does anyone have any suggestions before I have to drop the pan?

First thing you need to do is get a manual guage setup. Hook it up to your block and check your oil pressure. It is possible that your oil pressure sending unit is bad. You need a manual oil pressure guage anyway. Idiot lights are self explanatory.
