Oil Pump to block gasket??

My gasket set came with a gasket for the joint between the oil pick up and the pump but no gasket for the interface between the pump and the block. Does anyone know if there should be one? If not, should I use sealer between them or just bolt up the pump and torque the bolts. Should there be sealer on the gasket between the pickup and the pump?

no gasket between pump and block. The other from pickup to pump is critical or you will suck air.

8) you can if you want, but use something like permatex #2. it is designed for use around oil. just remember to use a very thin coat on both sides of the gasket.
