When I was ready to install my motor, I asked the question about all of the funny nipples sticking ou of the intake around the base of the carb. I think ADDO pointed me straight that they were water runs that circulated around the outer edges of the intake. Was that for COOLING the intake or heating it?
I ended up hooking them up. I ran one of them to a fitting that was sticking out of the head near the front passenger side corner and the other one to a fitting on the water pump (on the lower-radiator hose side of things). I also have a temp sender in a fitting in the thermostat housing I could move if that would be better suited for the water lines.
I have two questions:
1. what are the benefits and/or drawback of hooking the water lines up? I'm in Florida, so heating things up isn't a problem!
2. did I do it right?
In that I mean, if I hooked the lines up to fittings that are both "outgoing" water pressure, the water wouldn't flow through there right would it? It would just kinda meet up in the middle and hand there.
