Original Starter information

I am trying to find any information on what starter would have been on my 200 in my 67 mustang with a c4 trans. Part numbers or casting numbers would be useful. Trying to locate an original for a restoration. Ive been told that some times the rebuilt ones will have the correct part numbers but I don't know what they should be.

Have you tried the mustang concours parts houses, like NPD? Most of them will have 'concours correct' items just for that purpose.

I see starter part #s in my copy of the '60-'63 factory manual . Perhaps you could find that in the factory manual for your year ?

I have checked NPD and others. They have rebuilt starters as well but no mention if they are 'correct'.
I have the shop manual but I didn't see part numbers for a starter listed. Maybe I am looking in the wrong spot. Which section did you find it in?
