Just wanted to know what valve cover i should get to fit my oz head? Not sure what will fit and/or what others have been using? Thanks for the help :D Mark

the stock valve covers and all of the aftermarket ones should fix. I have read some where that it takes some modifications but i haven't had to do any on all 4 of the ones i have and they fit in nice, and seal well.

I purchased the clifford valve cover. It's looks nice and is a great alternative to chrome. Sometimes you can have to much chrome. I didn't order it from Clifford either. Think it was dallas mustang. At any rate it installed easy enough. How well it seals well when I get the engine back in my stang I will let you know.

Most US covers hit on the higher intake runners, so you might need to grind out a tiny bit of the gasket retainer rim for clearance. But its an easy chore. I'll look tonight when I get home to see if I have an OZ cover that shows where it is removed and snap some pics.

If you don't check closely for the clearance, you'll never notice until you start up the motor. Then you'll find oil all over the top side of the head, down in those deep pockets between the runners. Its fun to clean up, trust me, I know, as do a few others.

Here's a pic, I had to blow it up quite a bit so its a bit fuzzy. But at least you can see where the rim is trimmed of to clear the intake runners.

I have an extra OZ "Powered by Ford" cover (already notched) that was Jet Hot coated. It has a couple small dimples in it (right behind the D in ford), but with a little polish it would look pretty sharp. If anyone is interested in it, I'll take $40 bucks or best offer for it (plus shipping).
