Do you know if the speedway x-flow alcohol six they build runs a 2-bbl Ultraflow and a 500 2-bbl?

I haven't actually seen any speedway motors. Closest I've come to seeing one was a speedway-like motor in a TE corty. Went like "Sugar off a shovel". Speedway things aren't as common as they used to be though, ever since the Claremont Speedway got shut down, and moved (IIRC) to Kwinana. I'd be interested to know what goes into those donks to justify the prices though.

The Kosteci bros do some good work and they have good gear, much like COME in Melbourne, on a smaller scale.
That engine would be with an alcohole 500 holley probably on a Ultraflow, but the power would be around 40-60bhp above what youd get on petrol.
Otherwise its fairly realistic. I think I could build a 250 crossflow to get that sort of power much cheaper.

When they talk about the cam range 235-260@0.050"hyd in those engines just say the 260 do they mean the lift at lobe is 260" ??

Kosteckis are quoting the camshaft lobe duration tested at 0.05 inch (yes them). This is a very realistic way to do it as its the duration that affects the speed range for the best power and torque.
With the cam at 235 degrees your talking peak power at around 5700rpm in a six, with 260 degrees around 6500rpm.
Both those cams would be pretty rough idlers with a single carby. The 260 degee wouldnt be streetable without triple dellortos or something similar.
