passing emissions?

I'm not sure what 1969 test criteria is (or how to find it) but I went to their site and plugged in my data and got the same test criteria they are using. Wanted to make sure they got it right as well.

...but when I Google searched for previous aircare specs I found some from years back that were more lenient.

Pretty sure my car will be moving out of the area for a while...

:)

Good idea. Victoria's calling. Take the Victoria Clipper to Seattle and chill for a while.

"I adjusted the idle up a wee bit, put the air flow screw in a wee bit, put the advance back to 0 degrees and put 15L of 92 octane along with 1L of Methyl Hydrate and has the car tested again last weekend. The end result was almost the exact same numbers.

Still failing on CO. Currently at 4.02 and needs to be at 3.09 in order to pass.

So I bit the bullet and placed an order for a DUI with Mike this morning.

I'm looking forward to seeing the difference...

Steve...."

Why don't you try this settng again now that you have the DUI installed? You were almost there...

I'm just really tired of going back and forth every weekend to AirCare.
Rather just be done with it at this point.

Steve....

...and btw - I really love the DUI. It smoothed out a list of other issues I was having.

have you tried a smaller leaner jet? I bet it's as easy as that, it's not the idle screw that messes up anything its the gas sucked in while driving.

@MPGmustang -- I have not....I'm honestly not even sure of the jet size in my RBS carb.
...wonder if that's a common enough part to find at Lordco...

Steve...

Ok...my local auto parts store should have them in stock.
I have no idea how large my current jet is.
Any advice on how much I should step down?

I think if you did .....

this again with a smaller jet, it might let you pass, less gas = less tail pipe = more air...

If it works, you won't have to worry about extra mail/registrationm somewhere else... isn't that a monthly fee?

for the jet, it looks like it s a regular holley jet according to this forum, I found those @ o'Riely's or any mopar place
