I know this topic has been talked about before but i wanted some input on my setup. This spring im gonna be buying a new cam. I want to get one form Ford six performance. I was looking at there 264/274 112lobe center. I was reading about horsing with the 6 and i saw they picked up 5 horsepower form a 260 isky cam. I was looking to get some more horses then that. This is gonna be my daily driver, but I also want something that will scream on the 1/4. Im running a 200, with a 250 head, 1.6 roller rockers, 2 autolite 1100, headers, electronic ignition. Later on i will upgrade to bigger valves. Im hoping to run a supercharger in the near future also. Im gonna be running a beefed up C4(shift kit, high stall converter and some other du dads). Im looking of running 3.50 gears. I would apreciate your guys help. Thanks.

Later,

Curtis

The Ford six is old tech, and 3.3 litres only. You just can't build it like a Supra or something else modern, to bear all those qualities you mentioned. It will really come down to how soon other mods are likely to happen.

More cubes is easier and cheaper than giving an arm'n'leg to a small cube engine.
Grab yourself a 250ci and do the mods to that.
Might even pay to go for a crossflow so you can port it better and get better flow of the exhaust gasses.

Hell, grab yourself a new XR6 Turbo engine!
You'll be ahead before you even start!
