piston walls

I just took apart a 200 that I am looking to rebuild and the walls look like glass with no rough edges at all.Do I still have to bore this for the rebuild or should I just put new rings and pistons in and spend money on the head?

Ponyman, check the cylinder bore for wear taper, if no taper, you must hone the cylinder walls so the new rings seat.

DO not just put in new rings on glazed cylinder walls.

If the taper is excessive, you will have to bore the block & of course purchase new pistons. Good luck, William
