Plugs stuck

Hey guys so Im just doing some maintenence on my 67' mustang (200cid) and I realized that for the 3/4 years that I've owned it I have never changed the plugs. Of cource there really wasnt a need to seing as how it hasent been on the road.

Well the plugs are REALLY old...and they are rusted in. I have heard horror stories about people breaking them off inside the block. I CANT afford that to happen to me. So what do you guys reccomend? I just sprayed some PB blaster in one to see if that helps, but any suggestions?

8) let the pb blaster sit over night, then try pulling the plugs. use the longest ratchet you have. if they dont come out, spray with the penetrating oil again, be very liberal with it, and let it sit again over night. you can also use a breaker bar to break the plugs loose as well.

i have had the insulators break on me from time to time, but i have never had the plug shell break on me.

try loosening first , if they feel like they may snap. reverse the ratchet and give a little tighten snug. keep reversing the sequence until they come out.

I got them, I just let the pb blaster sit for a hour or so and then worked them slowly back and forth. Thanks guys, I didnt want to have a big problem. 8)

I would second this advise. Cast iron is pretty tough, its aluminum that gets interesting.

Glad to hear you got it.
