Got new head, dont know if I have time/money to mess with getting a port divider installed. I just started classes plus a new internship (non-paying) and I dont have time to do it myself. Will it really matter THAT much or should I do it anyways! I am goin with 274 cam, new flat top log, and prolly a turbo as well. If it will make a decent bit of difference, Ill put another on in the new head, if not, scratch it. What do yall think

If your doing all that you say you are going to do, Why wouldn't you spend the extra $25.00 and have it done? The divider is $10.00-12.00 if the head is all ready off having work done it really shouldn't cost more than $15.00-30.00 to have it welded in correctly. But if the engine is complete and the divider wasn't installed while rebuilding the head then I'd wait until the head has to come off (turbo project new head gasket) and do it then.

Hey ,

I bought one. You "DO" have to modify the crap out of it to mimic "it" to the other exhaust ports in the head so don't think that just spot welding it in is the answer. I spent a few hours grinding and smoothing it out to make it close( to what I thought was close) to the other exhaust ports It's not a perfect science to people that don't have access to an airflow bench but I do believe it is a worthy part to any performance build (especially with header) Not a sermon, Just a thought......(ha-ha)

I installed one on my old head, I just wanted to see if it were worth the trouble. I am fixin to order another one for the new head. I wish I could get all these parts RIGHT now, lol, I always hate the wait, but thats half the fun :o)
