Any experience using one? I have seen them used on built chev 250s. I thought of using one on mine, though its mainly stock.

The Predator is a constant velocity carb. Had some success on BBF race engine, so have others.
Carb is NOT adustable as a Holley or Edelbrock in low and mid range. When they first came out sevsral friends tried for street, lots of hair pulled out, tools thrown but NO JOY.

The Predator design is based on or at least very similar to the legendary Fisch carb of 50 mpg myth.

Did your friends try it with or without the idle circuit you can get now?

8) i helped a guy tune a predator on his race car once. he got it going pretty well, but eventually pitched in favor of an 850 holley. he ran something like .2 quicker with the holley on the car.

It was per idle circuit, actually probably classify as an antique now. :oops

Whittey, you could have gone all day without reminding me how long ago that was.
