Question about 2" outlet exhaust manifold

Saw this part. Price made me pucker up but unless I can find a cheaper one this will have to be it.

Can the outlet be opened up to 2.5" opening?

I want to use this with my T3 turbo setup.

I figured I could use these parts.

The round part of the flange will need a flare, won't it?

Also, check ebay for the exhaust manifold. There's usually at least 1 or 2 brand new ones, and they don't seem to go for more than 125 with shipping. I picked one up for 75 bucks plus shipping(new).

The idea is use the 2" outlet exhaust and expand opening to 2.5"

Then I use a 2 bolt flange with a small piece of 2.5" pipe welded to that.

Then I weld 2.5" transition piece to T3 flange and mount turbo to flange.

Then make straps/brackets so turbo hangs on those and not on exhaust pipe.


Just looked on Ebay and didnt see any on there. Did see some earlier in the week.

You might be able to ream the opening out to 2.5", but I don't know that there will be any significant gains. Smoothing the inside of the manifold would be beneficial, however. There is a lot of casting flash and mismatched seams.
