D8 200 block, stock D8 head at the moment.
Can I run oil through lifters and pushrods with stock non adustable rockers?
I have block done and am gathering parts for reassembly.
I want to install the 1.6 roller tip rockers later in spring, probably out of my tax check, but I dont want to have to pull the head and lifters and such.
Can I run the oil through parts now til roller rockers or do I have to keep the oil through the shaft setup til I convert?
Also wasnt there some problem with trying to cut large valve seats hitting the waterjacket in the head?
I seem to remember someone saying they took head in to have big valves and hardened valve seats put in and when the machinist cut for the bigger hardened valve seats they hit the water jacket?
I am planning to get my cut out for 1.84" int and 1.56" exh.
Thirdly, IIRC the cam is notched to clear the rod bolts so it would seem it would be easier/necessary to install camshaft before installing rods so I can just rotate cam by hand til its aligned.
