My last post was about not being able to go to 30 mph so I set my timing and now I can hit 30 to 40 miles but it is still weak it takes time for it to pick up speed. Any ideas on what I can do
Am running a weber 2 barrel carb

Your last posts mentioned that you have the Load-a-matic distributor. Did you replace the distributor yet? You will need a different distributor if you continue to run the Weber carb.
You also mentioned possibly installing a 1-bbl carb and retaining the Load-o-Matic distributor.
Until you correct the distributor / carburetor mismatch, you can expect to have problems.

Man, I can understand your frustration with a car as sweet as that. I suppose if it looked like a pig it wouldn't be quite as disappointing.

The 68 points type distributor will work. If you are looking for aftermarket, Mike sells a DUI distributor on Classiinlines.com website. You can also go the DSII route and get an electronic ignition fairly cheap.
Do a search on DSII for installation tips.

I recommend Duraspark. You can get a used Duraspark fairly cheap and the replacement/maintenence parts are easy to get and also dirt cheap. You can also upgrade the Duraspark system as you go with hotter coils, different modules, MSD boxes, etc etc.

Thanks guys for the replys and suggestion. Atleast u know how I feel about getting my car back on the road. Is it ok to drive the way am set up until I get a distributor
