questions about switching to throttle cable set-up

Hi,
I am trying to get my 60 Falcon on the road as quickly as possible yet I have a problem the original linkage I can not get to work with a 1978 200 and carter YF as the linkage is no longer in a straight line.

To switch to a cable linkage I need everything from say a Granada cable and pedal assembly? If I do this I disconnect the mechanical linkage for my 2 speed auto trans. What does it get replaced with?

Any suggestions on how to make the switch or keep the mechanical linkage is much appreciated.

Also if I do make the switch how do I mount the pedal? I had a 1967 Mustang that someone converted and the pedal was at an angle that made me feel like I was driving a bus.
