I'm looking for the best way to rebuild my 1968 mustang 200ci. Ill need the heads rebuilt ($300) and ill put in new rings and all new bearings as well ($300). I might also put in new pistons, and a bit of a larger cam.($250) Do I actually need to replace all of these things. The engine has never been rebuilt in the past, and I am looking for a more reliable college daily driver. Thanks for your help. The rebuilt crate engine is almost $1400

I have about $600.00 in my rebuilt 200. Of course I did all the disassemblie and assemblie myself. I just had all the machine work done by a shop. I feel that if you are mechanically inclined, can read, have a torque wrench and micrometer you should be able to do it. Just take your time if this is your first try.
