Want the motor to scream?
Drain the oil, then take the return spring off the throttle linkage.

Balancing the bottom end
The machine shop does this they weight the rods and assembly, pistons and makes each weigh the same (rod to rod, piston to piston) and I beleve the spin the crank and dril out or add to make it balanced kind of like tires. This way theres not bad vibration, with minunal vibration you can spin it to higher RPM's.. Better than stock rods are less app to brake and APR rod bolts are stronger than stock bolts so they hold together better.

Lots of airflow improvement to go along with a stonger reciprocating assembly.
The maximum rpm potential of most engines is limited by their potential to make power at high rpm (airflow) and their mechanical strength (pistons, crank, valve springs). Balancing helps, but there is a material strength limit on cast pistons that will prevent yoou from exceeding certain speeds, for example, without destructive effect.
High rpm doesn't always equate to more power, though.

RPM means "ruins people's motors".
Sorta true; those high revving bikes sure don't get 200K miles on a motor. As far as cars go, isn't it almost a young guy's rite of passage to have a car with a barely streetable cam? I'll be 35 when mine's finished.
:roll: Besides which, "mode of failure" research is best done by someone other than self.
