Replacement Carb

I was thinking about replacing my 1904 carb with either a Holley 847 or purchase an adapter and go with a 94. Since my system is stock (55 F100 223 6), will I run into issues with the distributor. I understand the stock 1904 is in tune with the stock distributor. Thanks for any advice. Steve

I don't know if it would help any to go to the Holley 847 but both it and the 94 will work with the stock LOD distrib they also used that system.

If you do change and you want to sell your 1904 I am looking for a couple to use on an Offy intake.

My Carter YF came off a 70 300/240, also a LOM distributor, and seems to work fine. It bolts on but the bore is slightly larger. I still need to "match port" the manifold. I don't get the best fuel economy however.
