I have the engine out of my '66. I'm swapping to a T5 and while the engine is on the stand, I figure its a good time to replace the rear main seal among other things. I have to replace the oil pan anyway. I thought I would do the front seal also. Is there a tech article I can read about this? I don't have any kind of manual. Feel free to scan and email any info you might have.
I have lots of mechanical experience but have not done this on a 200 yet. I figure its pretty straight forward but thought I would ask if there's anything I should watch out for. Thought I would check the timing chain also. May just go with a double-roller and be done with it. Anyone know where I can get one?
My engine only has 41k original miles on it but I thought changing to a roller chain would be cheap insurance.
