All Small Six Roller cams

This relates to all small sixes

I called Isky and Schneider and neither will make a roller cam for a small six. Both also do not have blanks for a flat tappet cam and only do regrinds.

So my question is, all this talk about roller cams, where will one get a cam? I have a 200 spare block and would consider a roller if I could get a cam. The lifter problem can be solved but need the cam first.

See thread ''Roller cam conversion'' post 22.
You can scroll down to ''similar threads'' to find it.

I had read post #22 a while ago and reading it now I see there are more replies. I first wanted to find someone in the USA; I figured if isky doesn't do it no one does.
Thanks

Talk to one of the camshaft regrinders.

One could ask the good folks at Clay Smith. They are certainly still producing flat tappet camshafts for the 200.

I would think getting roller lifters for the 200 would be a bigger hurdle than getting a cam ground🤔

👍that’s part of hurdle for small 6. I’m pretty sure FE lifters fit, just not the rollers. I have no machine equipment, only drill press( which I have put carbide bits in) dremmel, side grinder- air and makita, oh, and hand files. Not quite enough for notching lifters!😕

Post #5 is about 300’s if I’m reading it right.
Yes, 300 lifters fit the 200.
It is just a question of getting the tie bars to work.
Someone needs to try it in a 200 block.
Until that time there is no reason to discuss it any further.

This forum speculated for years if a hydraulic roller lifter would fit in a 300 block.
I just simply tried it in a 300 block and low and behold, hydraulic roller lifters can be made to fit in a 300 block.

Too much speculation and not enough action.
