Thanks, Joe

OOOOOH! I thought superchargers HAD to have serpentine belts, cause of the speed they turn. I had discounted the idea of putting a Vbelt on the supercharger, but that would make it a lot easier/more doable.Just to be clear, are you saying your running double belts to the supercharger?
Found a used, (seller says its 'good as new', hafta put a dial indicator on it to check) Magna blower off a 3.8 liter buick. Comes with throttle body I won't need.$ he's askin is doable, IF it doesn't need a rebuild.Just trying to get an idea of what else is involved. Should have plenty of room, under the hood.Would be blowin into a Predator carb, to a Clifford intake.
So, you found a double Vbelt pulley, and adapted it to go on the shaft of the blower? How tough was that? PLEASE provide more DETAILS!If that solves the belt problem, and mounting isn't a challenge, what am I missing?Oh, yeah; detonation issues.Ideally, would like to run on reg. gas.Not looking to race it,am actually hoping to improve economy, while having more torque for pulling my trailer.
Heres what I have; '65, 262 engine, 100,000 miles, running when pulled, with York a/c compressor.
NOS; head, rocker arm assembly, stantions for 2 bolt valve cover, 2 bolt valve cover, hardened exhaust seats,I&E valves, and springs. Timing gear set, oil and water pump. Duramax dist, and NOS distr. gear, and stock cam.
Predator carb and rebuild kit and Clifford 4 barrel intake.Haven't committed on exhaust, yet.Haven't done anything to engine yet, just cleaned off outside and stored.Have been trying to edumacate myself about head porting, gasket matching and piston/ combustion chamber shapes, singh grooves, etc.Would like to go with 'gapless' top rings, and considering ceramic coating, although I'm reading to do it right takes a lot of prep.
