Ok i am going to swap my autolite 1100 carburetor for a Holley 2300 (350cfm) and i have several questions. I am also planning to swap to DUI dizzy befre i do the carb swap. Anyways my questions are, I got an air cleaner assembly from an LTD or something of that sort that had the TBI setup, and it doesnt exactly fit my carburetor. It is very close but not exact (slightly too big). I thought that aircleaner should fit a holley? What car should i get an air cleaner from for a sure fit? Another question, Since i am replacing the autolite 1100 carburetor i will need to replace hard fuel line with a rubber one, (i will also probably put a pressure guage on there just in case while im at it). What size of fuel line should i get? What will work best with my future setup?

Thanks everybody for the input in advance!

A 5/16" fuel line is plenty. The advantage of going larger to 3/8" is mainly in being easier to ream out if there's a blockage... I would bend up a steel line and use it with the correct end fittings.

for the air cleaner id just go to the parts stores and pick up a chrome air cleaner kit from like mr. gasket or wutever ur parts store sells

Howdy Back Yodabiri:

The air cleaner you need is from a late 70s early 80s LTD with an Autolite 2100 two barrel carb It will be offset. To mount the snorkle correctly so that it is pointed to the drivers side of the radiator the "Front" stamped into the lid will be facing the driver's side fender. Tap a hole into the radiator support for cold air intake. Be sure to use the fiber gasket between the carb and the air cleaner.

On the fuel line, I only cut off a little off the carb end of the steel line and ran a rubber hose from there to the carb. For safety, a steel line from the fuel pump to the carb is better.

Adios, David

I will wait for my next paycheck to order the DUI. When i get that i will swap the dizzy and see how the performance will improve. And after that i will swap the carburetor. I will hopefully have this all done by the end of this month, maybe. We shall see. I will post back with results and probably questions and the same time. Oh and BTW i will probably use metal fuel line and then flare and clamp it at the end to a rubber hose and to the carb. The carb already has a small filter on it. And as for the air cleaner i got one from a 70-80 LTD and i like the filter but im planning to go and exchange it for one from a cougar that has 5.0 written on it. It seems that it looks nicer but im not exactly sure that it will fit, but i think i have seen somebody using that (mustang Geezer perhaps).

Thank you very much!
