Shift Kit

Hey guys,
I gotta C4 behind my six and want to know about puttin a shift kit in it till I figure out when Im gonna get the T5 goin. How much, which one and how hard is it to install?? Please help guys, any other tips while Im at it?

Try TransGo, I know they make a shift kit for a Tempo, so I'm betting they make one for your tranny.

They list several C4's for different years and different applications. I'm pretty sure they'd make one for your app. Also, I know the one for the Tempo is like $20 + shipping.

The Transgo shift kit is the dearest, the B&M "shift improver" the cheapest. That said, the Transgo has better cred for durability from what I've heard. For DD type use, a Stage I conversion should be fine.

How bout the fairbanks shift improver? Winning this one for cheap, I like the sound of Transgo tho, might have to go for it

8) I have a quick ans simple tip here for you. When you pull the valve body apart, do that over an old cake pan..........no parts get lost. Next use grease or vasaline to hold check balls in place so they don't fall out.
