single lung carb opinion

i have not, but i am going to do a multi carb set-up on my 226. i just pict up a edmunds. what are you thinking? how about the old stromberg singles??

well, i had originaly thought about a set of the stock 1904 holleys, but seems more i read about them they dont seem to work well in a group... troubles with acc pumps, economiser circuits... we'll see, im still a ways off from that but i'd like to get the carbs im going to use before i need em and sell the 1904's i have now

i did not know about that deal with the 1904s? i have one 847. and have been told that they work good? i'm thinking about getting one more and trying that? and i know were i can get some old strombergs that i might try??? i have also thought about some weber singles???? or solex carbs you can get them from jcw cheap. you can get 847s from vintage speed. if you let the 1904s go? let me know.

peanut,,, you say you have an 847... do you know if the base's on the 847's are the same as the 1904's?

i guess what im askin is, will an 847 bolt on to an intake made for a 1904 carb?

Thanks dood

I have been running dual singles (Holley 847 or Ford 7HA) on my 226 1950 Coupe for 10+ years. They run nice and are easy to adjust.
