Slimline Water Pump Pulley Source?

Anyone using a slimline single water pump pulley on their 200?
Where did you get it?
I want to eliminate the nose protruding forward so there is more clearance for an electric fan.

I use a short nose water pump, late two groove balancer, and the custom two groove overdrive pulley I drew up plans for and had my brother cut for me. It's cut smaller in diameter so I can use the late damper, and being smaller, spins the pump faster at any given rpm (great for A/C).
The short nose pumps themselves are still available at any parts store.
Single pulleys are a junkyard or eBay item (remember that old JY stock short pulleys will interfere with a late damper), but, it looks like Mike is now selling the custom two groove overdrive pulley. In addition, looks like he offers them anodized and hardened. I would recommend the hardened version if you plan on using the pulley in a daily driver. Mine, which is made from a leftover, unhardened, chunk of 6061 is wearing away significantly. Mike is only asking 55 bones for a custom and hardened (+ $10) pulley, sounds like a screaming deal.

You'll save about one inch total using a short pump. The long pump is about 3/4" longer, pulley mounting face to pulley mounting face, but the shaft extends out further than on the early pump.

I measured the nose of the single groove stock pulley and it protrudes 2" which is wasted space.
If the nose were gone, that along with the absence of the fan blade would allow well over 3 in of space.
The stock double groove pulley I have from the 60's is exactly the same width as the single with the nose.
I think the nose was done that way as a spacer to get the fan to within the tolerance distance from the radiator.
I am installing a 3" National radiator and that is adding to the space issue.
I guess I will head off to the JY and see what kind of options are available.

There are the custom billet type but they are very costly and this car is a daily driver only.

There was guy in the L.A. area that would build cut down Buick 215 water pumps for use with an essentially flat pulley. Saved about 3", iirc. I'll look for his info and post it up, he may be able to do a 200 pump as well.

Here's the article:

Or here's a different idea:
The water pump mounting spot on the 144/170/200 block is just a big round hole. About 3-4" across and with three bolts holding the water pump on. A very simple to make round cover plate would bolt right on. I think I'd use at least 3/8"+ aluminum plate. You'd then drill a hole the same size as the water neck hole on the head, to mount a second water neck to that plate, and use a remote inline electric water pump. Or, since most electric water pumps use AN style fittings, just drill and tap the (thick enough) plate for the appropriate fitting.
You could then run the cooling system flow backwards, too. Cooled water to the head, first. This should net a bit more than 2" more space than with the stock long pump. Add in the space the formerly occupied by the fan, and it's got to add up to about 4-5" total?

Somebody has to have done this on a 200 before...
