sparkplug thread sealant

Anyone suggest what kind of sealant I can apply to the threads of my sparkplugs? I started it up and in the cold weather I could see puffs of exhaust coming out from around the plug. Theads in the head are a little worn. What can I use to stop the leak and still be able to remove the plug when neccessary? Thanks in advance

Assuming they are tapered seat plugs, you might just try a little anti-seize compound. It's most likely leaking a little around the taper because of dirt on the seat (cylinder head) and probably goes away as soon as it warms up. There is a tool to clean up the threads and the seats but I don't know if it's generally available any more.
