o.k., I have the trusty old xp...it of course came out with 13' rims and tyres to suit. I bought it with 14' rims, and it now has a very nice set of vintage looking mags on it. Also 14'. The tyres are 215x65...so I'm wondering, does any1 know what the speedo variation will be with the aforementioned chage?

If you will refer to the back of any Ford workshop manual. There is a coloum of speedo drive gears for the different transmissions, rear gears and wheel sizes.
But if you are already using fourteen inch wheels then any original manual from XR onwards should help you out.
When you look at the accuracy of a speedo head. The age of the unit must also be considered, So even with the correct drive gears it may still read slow.
A speedo specialist repaire will/should be able to tell you what you will need and be able to test the accuracy of the unit.
