got to make a drive shaft , custom lengte . he did ask me if it is possible to make the tube out of stainles steel , because he did see al my product from stainles steel .

question : are there stainles steel yokes in the US for sale ?
i know i see steel and alu yokes and end caps for the shaft to weld onto it , but are they also made in stainles ? better to buy them then to make them myself .

i know there are alu shaft to buy , but he wanted stainles steel .

other question: there are almost non companys here in holland to balance a drive shaft , somebody can explaine how they do it ? wat is the procedure ? what machines to use ? www....................?

I can't imagine that there isn’t a shop that balances drive shafts for Ski Lifts there in your neck of the woods. The last time I had it done, a shop that balances all of the local area drive shafts for ski lifts here in the NW.

Ask your customer why he wants to add weight to his car. A slightly larger diameter aluminum shaft can handle the torque and save the weight.

Good luck, Ric.

Don't think there's many ski lifts in a flat country like the Netherlands!

If you can't get an aluminium drive shaft in holland, send the measurments to a USA supplier who makes custom shafts.

Don't waste your money on a SS shaft, just get a standard mild steel shaft or bite the bullet & get a custom made alloy shaft. The shaft will be balanced. Unless you plan to put 750 HP to the rear wheels just use the stock drive shaft yokes supplied by a USA maker of aluminium shafts.

yeah SS is just gonna weigh more and I don't think anyone makes parts of them even.....

now if he want's a bling factor he could for with a custom CF shaft....
