anybody know the model of holley single v carb on a 262? is it any good for other aplications? whats the cfm rating?

Not sure what they used on the 262. But the 215 and 223 "mileagemakers" used a Holley 1904, 1-bbl carb.
That same carb was also used on International Harvesters, Ramblers and other cars.

Holley also made several variations of the 1904 with different model numbers. There was a model 1908 and a model 1960.
Some carbs had the spark control valve and some did not. Some had automatic choke and some did not. different models had variations in the accellerator linkage.

There is a Holley 1904 carb list from 1964 available for downloading on www.carbsrus.com. It also has repair part numbers and diagrams. It shows list Numbers R-2273A, AS, 1A, & 1AAS for the '61 262.
'62 262 was list R-2273 2AAS.
