started my intercooler today

well I dug out the spoolgun for the miller today and got going on the intercooler fab work. turns out .090" alloy is pretty tough to bend in a 20" length. I got one tank on but this spool gun isn't too great for this. makes it real tough to go back and hit any small spots/voids that are there. so I might run over the JC and talk to the prof I know there and just use a tig to go over the welds to clean them up nicer. this thing is HUGE!!I need to figure out how I am gonna stuff it all in there though still. I need to make some turns here and there and looking at either a mandral bend for it or using silicon couplers (the silicon is a tighter bend)

I'll get some pics up later this evening after I get some dinner

intercooler . ever did thought about a water intercooler intregated into a normal alu water cooler ?

got al the plans and messering here , for using a 302 alu radiator from a newer model mustang . but problem is i can weld alu , but got no alu welding machine !

has a way to go...the spool gun kinda sucks on the thin stuff since it wicks away heat real fast. basicly either get cold starts or burn through it once you get going...

gonna take it into the local college and talk to my old prof and see if he will let me use the TIG to run over the welds real quick to just even them out and make sure there are no leaks

it looks rough but bending up .080" AL with no brake or even a freaking workbench sucks. whole thing is getting rattle canned black anyways.

gonna get what I have right now mounted tomorrow and try and figure out routing on it.
