gidday,

im intersted in supercharging a 250 crossflow with auto tranny

what kind of superchargers do you guys recommend?

the cylinderhead is also being upgraded, exshaust, not sure about what kind of carby setup would go well with this

what else needs to be done?

and how much am i looking at?

cheers,

I did this conversion its a peice of piss. All you need is two match sticks and a straw. less than the price of a set of handle bars. At laest 500 hp gains should be expected. If your driving a ute i would sugest puting tar magnets in the air space of your rear tyres. Go Walshy!!!!

 Yet another way to get rip snorting performance.

We love you philgry, come back soon!

OverDose, every body should have Wade blowers in there garage, like me. And if I was still looking at supercharging my Falcon, and not a Cortina, I'd just cut a hole in the left hand spring tower, plate it up to create space, and get it blowing through the stock 2-bbl Weber ADM manifold with a big 13 mm plate entering the side. For a carby, just use a 4-bbl and mount the blower on its side.

If Sprintex and V6 Commodore Eaton blowers fell from the sky more often, the Dukeowindsor's set up is best.

The ignition needs to be pegged back to 28 degrees advance, the compression dropped to 8:1 if your using 9 pounds, 7:1 if your going to 12 pounds or more. The blower is driven as one would drive an airconditioning pump, but there is a huge load of and on throttle. Rod Hattfield, with his SC12 220 hp 3.8 V6's and Holdens earlier 228 hp V6 get away with smaller drive pulleys and the stock width serpentine belt is used. Simply because there is less than 7 pounds of boost. A serpentine belt drive like what you see on Commodores, that's what you should copy. Look at all the ancillary drive layouts you can, and take notes. A blower isn't so hard to set up once its on. As long as the wrap of the belt, and the belt itself can be tensioned.

There is lots of work making it driveable from the front of the engine.

Once I'm done loading my pictures on my website, you'll get to have a look.
